    He will be loosing his time, aslong as the Station had there Static sign up, shouldn't be no problem.

    In order to prevent that, when you step out of your car Tap your car on the roof or something (metal part) to release any static in your body. Also don't be using your cellphones.
    And and Don't go back in your car when your pumping gas, alot of people do this all the time. Once you go back in your car 99% of time you will get static in your body again.

    It looks like he was filling a gas can in the bed of the truck and he probably had a plastic bed liner in which case there is a specific warning on the pumps advising agianst it. Just as Julio said his case will have no merit.
