Damn that sucks man, what kind of test did they do? Sobriety, or breath? It's always best to refuse to take any tests. You still go to jail, but when you go to court they have no real evidence.
Just from people I know... your first one you normally plead first offenders and noramlly keep your license from what i heard... You will have to do a risk reduction class ($280 - usually a 4 day thing) and a drug and alchohol evaluation ($80 - a one time deal unless they determine you need more counseling) and 40 hours community service and 24 hours manditory jail time (which can normally get dropped depending on cirucumstances) Your attorney will tell you to do the risk reduction and the evaluation before you ever go to court... it looks better... attorneys fees can go anywhere from $350 to a few thousand depending on how good of an attorney he is and what he thinks your options are (how hard he will have to fight it)... your fees will depend on the county.. I have seen them run on average from $800 to a couple thousand... I will give you more info after the 5th of December...![]()
