    Default I hate cars

So, I have a 95 Ranger that has ran rough, no power, surging etc since day one. Has had a P0340 cam sensor code since day one also. Chased and chased this issue. New sensor, timing belt and set timing, check and tested wiring etc. Finally got the thought that maybe the alternator was bad and sending out a little ac voltage and messing with the computer. Unplugged it and bam... truck runs perfect.

I had the same problem. Couldn't figure it out until I found out it destroyed my ecu, it ended up not starting at all after a couple days of the cam sensor code. Got it fixed today though.

I'm amazed the PCM didn't die. It was driven this way for over 5 months by the previous owner.

Ford makes good trucks. I don't care what anyone says.

I found out today the dumbass PO wired some of the audio system very poorly and that actually led to my ecu frying.
