I actually went and looked at 1 recently. 7 year old car with better than 150k on it and no money for a new car right now, but I can get a new scooter for less than 2k. 100mpg would be absolutely wonderful on my 25 mile each way trip to work.

alot of people bash on scooter riders but have you ever rode one? i ride a ruckus and i would rather ride that than any other car or motorcycle that i own. its a hell of a lot more fun and i dont give a shit what people think about it not being manly. i just stay off roads with speed limits over 45 cause i dont want to piss any other drivers off.
