They have good prices, but from dealing with their delivery people before I chose to just pick my stuff up and save some money. I just hate how pushy they are with their "protection plans." I bought a chaise to put in my bedroom for when I just want to sit back and relax. It was on sale for like $250 and the lady wanted to sale me the protection plan that was $100. Why would anyone pay almost half the cost of the product for what amounts to a warranty on a chair. I had to tell her no like 10 times.
As far as furniture places overall I am with you to a certain extent. When I bought my place I got all new furniture and opted for delivery and it sucks having to take damn near a week off work waiting for various pieces to get there. I have a few things in my house from Ikea and while they are not solid wood pieces they have withstood the test of time. I bought a lot of pillows, lamps, and small tables there. Things that are mainly for decoration and don't get heavy use. I'm thinking about heading back down there to buy a few more things.
