Default what site do you use to get cheap flights?

i'm flying out to san diego in june and am looking for cheap flights, so far all i can find is around $200, which seems a bit steep for a one way flght

    so what do you use?

and i apologize in advance if this is in the wrong section....just figured i'd get a good amount of responses in here vs. anywhere else

    cheapflights.com or expedia

sometimes cheapo air will have stuff as well as kayak.

I work at a travel agency that does international travel and i have noticed that sometimes getting a round trip, even though you only need one way, will be cheaper and just dont use the other half of the ticket. $200 doesn't seem TOO bad though. I got round trip to San Diego back in Feb for about $300 out of Chattanooga. Also, traveling during the time of year that you are is going to cost more anyway since its during the summer time.

the cheapest way is usually without the middle man (expedia, etc.)

Not always....I went to expedia and got a price....then went to the airlines site and found the same flights for about 100 - 200 more. Last minute stuff is usually cheaper directly from the airline though.
