the whole "it's the thought that counts" argument sucks. If that statement was true, why buy anything at all, and just write her some sort of letter. It takes more thought to write a couple pages than it does going to some store and picking out a generic necklace.

Hence why not everybody gives necklaces or even a gift for Vday. It's all about 'together'. I didn't even take her to the restaurant. I cooked her a 3 course meal.
Some people buy necklaces. Some write poems. Some donkeypunch... Different strokes.. but in the end, it is the thought and gesture that counts....
