well... we travel 40-50+ up here, but slow when needed. But really 10mph? Gosh...

i went 5 mph and i slid everywhere!! lol
My midget of a car wouldn't last in this snow....but normal cars should be able to handle this crap easily.

makes me want to have a 240 and pretend i can drift in an empty parkin lot

Up there where it snows often, they have the tools and prep roads. Here they don't do much of shit and when they do it's a shitty job. You don't drive regular on the roads here as you would up north.
They cancel schools here and not there for the exact same reason.
You simply can't drive at a decent rate of speed on ice if the road hasn't been treated in which case there is no ice.
Hilton Head. South Carolina here.....and damnit its snowing. ppl are flipping out. LOL

OP sucks snowdick
Peek-a-boo mofucka what now?!
I was actually in gwinnett with a buddy of mine puttin my new suspension on and it started snowing, we had to finish it in like 2 inches of snow. Then on my way home i was slidin around like crazy(rwd is a bitch on ice), so I was goin pretty slow.
u and this ice. Its snows up here and it also ices. Even with a prepared state/city, they cannot combat ice if its to cold. 5degree with a strong wind chill prevents salting from performing well. So... yes, up north, with a well prepared city, the drivers must still negotiate and continue on with work and school.
Cars slide easily but the drivers should be away and take the necessary precautions, hence the reason why we northerners bang the south when it comes to driver competence when it snows AN INCH.

I rocked a 240 with a 1way diff when we had the 4inch snow, 2 inch ice, refreeze 3inch snow 1 inch ice weekend. Loved it. Never spun out, went sideways a bit, but kept it together. Just take ur time and pace.
If the rain beats ur ass, the snow will kill ya ass. Low grip conditions should warrant more sense when driving.

No its people that never drive in snow don't know what to do or how to drive in it. When a line of people are going 25mph on 316 they don't know how to drive. They are the same ones that slam on brakes when a little bit of rain falls from the sky. I saw a dumb ass with their flashers and bright lights on. It was 5:00 and lights did them zero good. It sucked for people coming at them though. I drove 45+mph when I could on the way home and had no trouble. I did slide some in my neighborhood because no one had be through there but I was going less than 25.
My advice though. Its not something to "play" around in. If you cant drive in it, stay off the road. Its all fun till you're sliding into a ditch at 30+.
