Maybe I didnt know a Marine Jet when I see one? Lol it was an F-18 because the F22 was flying without one fine

I dont know how much you know about naval aviation, but I can assure you that I know just as much or more. I was also at Dobbins for about 4 years and every F-22 that left while I was there was escorted by F-16's. That was obvious by the single tail, whereas the F-18 has a double tail.

Are you saying the F-22 was green? tIf so, that doesnt make any sense as all of them are painted a slate gray color.

It looked green from where i was standing. I was not on base so I wouldnt be able to describe every detail. Me and the 10 other people standing around were like wtf is it painted for and why is it missing a fin... The plane escorting it wasnt missing the fin. Maybe your right... Im a grunt so if it were weapons i would be the genious.

I was in aviation and worked on F-18's at Dobbins. Now I work at Lockheed. I've seen the 16's on the flight line on a couple occasions. They were there waiting on F-22's to escort to their new home.


I never understood the point of the escort though. Any weapons have the ability to lock onto the F-22 have the ability to distinguish between aircraft.
