Interesting...
Yep. There are only two things that I can think of (criminally) that will prevent you from having a hand gun. If he cannot have a rifle, either, then you can narrow it down to a felony I do believe (I would need to look up the statutes for that to make sure). I know that a felony or misdemeanor domestic voilence will not allow for you to have a handgun permit. That is in the GA statute. If it is a misdemeanor domestic, then I do believe that you can have a handgun, but you cannot have a permit (I think, but don't quote me on it). He seemed to cover all guns, so that would probably make it a felony charge of some type which is very bad and typically includes jail time...Originally Posted by Brett

Ruiner,
good lookin out on the reading man! Are the statutes online somewhere?
Anyways you were right w/ the first choice, I'm no domestic violence offender. Violent crime and I will actually be appealing, it was a wrong place/wrong time type of deal... I'm not as crazy as they tried to make me out, I have (almost) no real background as far as convictions/arrests, and I've calmed down a lot since before this happened.. I just happened to be around some friends, and well old habits die hard. No guns of any sort, but I'm hoping to get it reversed, I honestly believe they are mixing me up for someone. I just want to put this behind me and move on as I have been, every motion seems to take 6 months though.. :sigh:
I'm not a bad guy, ask my probation officer!![]()
wow i know how ya feel trust me on that one
