i guess a little of both. i wated my civic to look different and be a little quicker than average. even though i have done shows and got 2nd or 3rd place. i dont concider it a show or race car.

There is no better show car than a JGTC or GT1 car sitting up on airjacks on racedecking under an awning off the side of a $100k trailer. End of story.

..but i am determined to have the cleanest track prepared integra.

Gosh. I wish I had the time/money to do that. But I'm trying to put a daily dragger together fast. And then when the money situation gets better start working on it. I'd love to bodydrop it, but, then I would need something else to drive. So laying frame will have to be good enough for now, door will come later.

i bought the truck for $100, so.. its not a big thing thats jsut sitting in the garage.. lol im doing most of the work before it even gets out of the driveway this time around... bagged(on 20s at all corners), bodydrop 2.5 all the bodywork, full sheetmetal interior, fully detaled and painted frame, rebuilt, painted and chromed/polished motor, you know.. a good lookin toy that could happen to be put in minitruckin

Yeah, my guy has a few $100 project trucks...and they're all rusting to hell right now. He might get something done if he'd quit buying new toys. lol. But if he worked on his trucks then mine wouldn't get done so I won't complain too much.

Had to cut the exhaust off my truck yesterday...it sounds awful. Right now I'm going for the stock but slammed look. I give it a week before we start cutting on it again or start shaving it. And don't feel bad, the Nissan isn't all that fast either. lol.

I look at it this way for my car, for every Two interior/exterior things i put on my car i at least do one Show/Performance thing to the engine. And i mean like performance parts that are dressy to the engine. That way i dont go all the way to one side of the scale with show parts and have nothing under the hood to back it, but then again same thing on the engine.

Definatly more into race cars... Not into show cars at all really, aside from old (30's-50's) hot rods and (60's-70's) muscle cars. Not into the gullwing, bling bling show cars....

id ask do you prefer function over form?

id rather spend money in motor parts and nice turbo kits while making the car look better.... show cars are all looks but they have nothing to back it up...and ive some shitty looking show cars..... id rather spend money on something that im gonna feel the difference and enhance the car as well.....

like air bags.... or just a normal suspension drop... rebuilt motor..... something youd FEEl the difference ... and not only in ur pocket

I honestly dont like stirctly show cars. I hate trailer queens. why have a car u dont want to drive? The show scene is full of outrageous stuff. who needs tvs in their gas door n headlights? I like a car that can combine both. Look at the supra above in the sig. Clean enough for a show IMO, but prolly packs a punch under the hood. I am all about going fast. i dont care how i look doing it. As long as your bling bling got beat by my zing zing.

I prefer a 'race car' over a show car. I have always had functional cars that I use at track days and autocross. You can make them look good too. My current CRX is all gutted and stuff, but it still has a CD player and a sub. I just like the go fast part of a car over the looks. My opinion nobody cares though lol
