I mean I've set off a few driving by and such, but normally my backfries are on the highway, today something about what my guess is a dying ignition(need to replace the plugs wies dizzy cap and rotor, I've never done it haha) set it off at 10mph. Yeah these Rx-7s will blow cheap mufflers to pieces. I'd bet it'd take a chunk out of a curb too ifI could get it to do a backfire in neutral, but sadly I can't.Originally Posted by swimshark

haha yah they can backfire at random times. if you want some pointers ill see if my friend doesnt mind giving you some tips. they mess with rx-7s all the time. he owns a red 79 and his friend owns a black 85 gsl-se. here is a pic of their current collection
Ben(black GSL-SE) Juno(light blue GSL with GSL-SE hub swap) and Andrew(red 79 SA). My friends 1st gen shot a flame and burnt the whole back end of the car to the point of not being able to drive it because no tail lights, melted bumper, etc. LOL.
Lol, I took my last chassise through the mountains or a few hours. A friend who followed me sai I heated the exhaust enough for my rich idle circuit to provide a constant flame everytome I lifted the throttle. When I came around to the back afte driving, my bumper was black ad the plastic was drooping over the pipes haha.
