    I make more than that. I was making more than that when I took my first job after getting out of college in '99.

    I'm in IT and coming out of college was the hay-day for the IT field (late '90s). Seriously, I knew people making 40, 50, 60, even 70k coming straight out of college! It isn't like that anymore, though. Companies have cut back and aren't spending like the world was about to end.
