Wait..So I guess for this to happen you guys had your bank account linked with itunes? I just reload mine with gift cards.

I think you and some others are missing the point or main subject here.

It's not that people are hacking into your iTunes account and stealing your Credit card info. Its people stealing your credit card info and they are using iTunes to test the card numbers.

If the song purchase goes thru then they will use it to buy other stuff. So this does not relate to the iTunes gift cards what so ever.

there are other ways to get your CC info - they are TESTING it on itunes to see if the CC is valid... then they spend away.

yah there are obviously many ways to get your credit card info and its been known for many years. there are also many ways to test the credit card OTHER than iTunes. purpose of thread was that his GF had her CC info taken THROUGH iTunes itself. CC fraud is everywhere and he is letting us know about what is now going on with iTunes.
