No doubt. My wife likes to dabble in photography, started small and learned by doing. She has reached the limits of what here camera can do and only now we are looking at buying a DSLR. But it does seem like most people just buy a DSLR and call themselves a "photographer". Camera (no matter how good) cannot make up for skill. I'm sticking to a good 'ole point and shoot.
