What motivates you at work....
For those people who have jobs that are not really micromanaged, how do you stay focused? I'm here bored as all hail, and can't find an ounce of "work" in me. There is a project that I am 5% away from completion, but I don't feel inclined to just do it.
Procrastination, nope....just want to do other shit, lol.

this is exactly why you will mostly only see me on here during the week bc it helps "work" time pass
when im working time goes on by, if i fuck off the day drags on and on. I also make a commission so that's decent motivation too.

When i get bored i surf soccer news on various outlets... but i list to loads of music and make lots of to do list

I am in a rather important position especially for my age and if I make to many mistakes I can cost people their jobs, not something I want to live with.

Well... sorta. I'm doing work for the FAA.... So I'm kind of a big deal.

I do all the optimization and cost savings models for the company. I'm only a big deal when I am working with a region, lol.
They are like "Oh, hey Mr. Analyst man, we needs monay but sales are dropping. Can you haz helps us?". Once I save them a few $$, they call back for more.
Still not motivating. Now the thought of my bonus does put a grin on my face.
bonus's tend to make oubut that only last for so long... i love it b/c i'm rarely ever bored as there is always something new to do.

well im a personal care taker for seniors and to motivate myself i think of how if i don't do something then sit on my ass this old lady may break a leg or something and i get in lotsa trouble.
so yeah thats my motivation.
Usually the thought of my paycheck at the end of the month, keeps me chugging along.

Money of course is my first motivation, but knowing that I am good at my job and I am one of the best servers, is a huge motivation. Although my job is just enough to get me through school and is not a career, I still like to be the best at what I do. I like results! Knowing that I am really good at my job and I produce those results, makes me feel soooo good! I like being the best at everything I do!

I used to work in an office and i NEVER wanted to do anything else besides sit on IA all day. LOL But my office job required me to enter data on the computer so it was a win win for me.

AND I NO LIE! its only been cold the past week and some lolis are REALLY fucken stoopid! but i didnt say they needed brains to be hot!! theres a girl runnin around in a mini skirt and those fucken boots! they still wear skimpy stuff and fluffy jackets too which come off when they get into this toasty warm store!! so it works in my favors!!!

I got a sweet deal at my job. I get paid $xx per load I carry. Plus I get paid for every mile I put on my truck, empty or loaded, bobtail or hooked up. That's what keeps me focused. The more loads I run, the more money I make. My average is about 8 loads per day. Five days per week. Plus miles. Later, QD.

Today is a little better for me, and I think I found the reason for my lack of motivation. McDonald's Sweet Tea is the culprit. When I got to work, I did work. Then, I left for a refreshing cup of $1 tea. Now, I feel like someone stole my favorite action figure or some shit. That tea has depressants in it I SWEAR!!!

The thing that really sucks. chik-fila sweet tea down here is definitly not as good as in GA. they use to much water and not enough tea. and ive told them about it but they doesnt listen! imma have to call mr. cathy! so down here da sweet tea from mc.d's is better right now..
