I havent read any of the comments really, but to give my opinion on the OPs question:
I dont really think it hurts. Most girls want a successful guy especially for long term if thats what they're looking for. Of course, success shouldnt really be measured by the materialistic things you own, but a lot of times its the only measure of typical success; ie. big house, nice cars, nice clothes, etc.
For IA, I dont doubt that having a nice car would get you some poon, some disease used up poon that is.

I don't know why people are saying no. Yes it depends on the girl but there are materialistic females in this world. Car = materialistic crap. So yes a car does help pull girls.
Now what the owner uses a car for is a different story.
This should be an obvious yes. Why are people talking about gold diggers in here? Pretty much all girls would prefer someone that drives a nice car to someone that doesn't, it's not just about money, it's about showing that you aren't a lazy bastard and you can handle your business.

Pseudo-hypothetical situation : I can handle my business damn well, but drive an old car that I love. Like an old 87 s10 that is junk in many peoples eyes, however since it was willed to me by my grandfather who died a few years ago, it has a lot of value to me.
I have to totally disagree with you here. As long as the guy has a working car, that's all that matters. Of course I like nice cars, but a guy with a nice car does not and will not ever determine whether I am interested in that person. Hell, I've dated guys with no cars, and Anthony (my ex) drives a gutted hatch that's loud as crap! It's a great drag car though and does excellent on turns lol

Nah, it shouldn't...but sometimes it does. Of course I never really had a car girls would be impressed by except for when I drove my cousin's Infiniti G37 around. Of course I never really noticed if girls noticed me.
No one knew what a SAAB was, and I know I'm not impressing anyone except car enthusiasts with this Alfa Romeo. Any girl who sees it probably just thinks it's a Volvo.

Lots of wealthy people live in apartments - but not the one that's next door to Kroger in your neighborhood. They usually are in metro areas and 2 BR costs more than double my monthly mortage. They are usually older gentleman who have made their millions, owned (or still own) many homes but see the benefits of having a "scaled down" life so they can whore it up and still be downtown w/out living next door to Usher or the Governor. LOL
But then everyones view of "rich", "wealthy", "comfortable" and "well-off" is different. I have cousins who have been in and out of jail their whole lives (dope dealers) who think I am "rich". That's interesting since I know better - LOL. My ATM receipt agrees with me, not them. LOL. I am "comfortable" - and the problem with "comfortable" is that a relatively small bump in the road can change that in a heartbeat. I still have to hold a job - I still have to have multiple income streams - etc. There are still things that I'd like to have that I can't afford to buy - I like that b/c it drives me to work harder.

At the end of the day --- don't try to keep up w/ the Joneses. Don't buy more car than you can afford just to look kool. Don't buy more TV than you can afford. Don't buy more cell phone than you can afford - ETC. You are only fooling yourself - not any1 else. Don't try to build cars at a pace to keep up with some1 else. Let it be done when it's done - not when "the world" thinks that you've had enough time to complete it. Pay yourself 1st (save) before you play (mod). THAT is a man who thinks and understands that there are bigger things than cars. And the woman who knows that will not talk to you or NOT talk to you just bc of what you drive. Sure - the ones that are only worth bending over the bed will want you or not for a whip --- but the one that you marry likely will not.
