I think its the other way around. Beer is an acquired taste as well, but I think its easier to drink than mixed drinks(usually because the ass mixing them sucks at it) or straight liquour.
you can definitely make a mixed drink taste like liquid candy and not know its liquor. beer is beer. mostly bitter. thats ia definitely a acquired taste. liquor if mixed right you may never know what your drinking till your on the floor.
