Seriously, it isn't that bad outside of the U.S.

Europe (western Europe - France, Spain, Germany, UK, etc), Australia, Japan, etc.... they all have lifestyles similar to here in the US. Everyone acts like the US is a perfect country. Well I've got news for you, it isn't. No country is perfect.

I don't think the US is perfect, but I don't have many reasons to complain about living here.

Living in a country where freedom is thought of highly is a rare thing. Though freedom is subjective, I think that America has a better definition than most other countries.

Btw, born and raised in Georgia. Yes my name contradicts it slightly, lol.

Exactly. I have always found people from Europe to be much more civilized than the people from here. Especially because they are more respectful of each other.

I can't wait to go live in Europe again.

I wonder what the difference is that makes it so. Maybe its the age of the country? If that is the case, the U.S. is still the angry teenager that beats up anyone who taunts them.

No that was the Stelvio Pass. Top Gear made a journey from...

    1. The Col De Turini (WRC's Monte Carlo Rally uses this road)

    2. The San Bernardino Pass

And as quoted by Jezza "Davos to Stelvio" the Greatest driving road in the world.

    3. Davos to Stelvio via Bormio

    4. Stelvio Pass

    To Onurleft:

I read the article about the Challenger's trip from Motor Trend. Good Read.

They also mention my personal contribution of an additional Greatest driving road.

    The Futa Pass.

Indeed it is, judging by the hordes of leather-suited crotchrockeeters zipping all around. We're in the city of Fiorenzuola d'Arda, midway between Bologna and Florence, driving the Passo della Futa (Futa Pass) -- a tight, but spectacular two-lane road that winds up into the Apennine Mountains. We summit at just below 3000 ft and head higher, on to Passo della Raticosa (Raticosa Pass). Together, these two passes make up part of the famous Mille Miglia (1000 mile) endurance race. Like the Targa Florio and Carrera Panamerica, the Mille Miglia has a special place in automotive history for bestowing fame to brands like Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, Maserati, and Porsche and drivers including the great Tazio Nuvolari, Stirling Moss, and Juan Manuel Fangio. There is a Chrysler connection here as well -- in the 1953 Mille Miglia, Paul Frere drove a Chrysler Saratoga over these roads to a first place finish in the over 2.0L class. Though it is no longer run in earnest -- the last race on these passes occurred in 1957, after a horrific accident killed a Ferrari driver and a navigator as well as 11 bystanders -- the Mille Miglia Storica, a revival run for pre-1957 cars, is run every year along the same route.

    1 more.....

I didn't feel this picture got all it deserved since you dont know what a fascinating location this is. Fiat's retired ROOF test course.

Wow, I didn't know Fiat had a rooftop track. I'd love to go see that.

Thinking of Fiat though, one of my complaints about this country comes up - we don't get a lot of the fun cars. Which is why I'm so excited about the 500 coming to the U.S.

I have lived on Okinawa, and I spent a week in Tokyo. The difference is that in the US, everyone has all of the comfort items such as internet, running water, and indoor plumbing. Even in Japan, which is considered the most advanced of the Asian countries, that is not at all the case. When you get outside of the major cities, those comforts are gone quickly.

Europe I have no real experience with. I would absolutely LOVE to spend some time in Germany, Ireland, and Russia though.
