Typical dogs cannot even smell the TINIEST hint of smoke from a car who's owner smoked one year ago. Like drug dealers who smoke weed and get pulled over and think that just because they chew gum that now they have fresh breath. NO. Now your breath smells like Menthol Wrigley's Spearmint 100s.

A non-smoker can tell that you smoke in a car no matter HOW clean you THINK it's kept, but if they smoked one a year ago then it's not possible.
