    thought you had to be charged with wreckless driving? which i wasnt.

    you do. dont listen to these noobs. when you turn 18, if you acquire 4 or more points, they can, and usually do, yank the license. the only increase in limit is after you turn 21 and it you're allowed a maximum of 15 points without suspension (dependent on charges. ie: conviction of dui will revoke license).

    also, even if you're charged with reckless driving because of excessive speed, as long as you werent weaving in and out of traffic and being a total tool, you can more than likely get it dropped because the officer was basing it off the speed alone.

    if they dont charge you with reckless at the scene, they're not gonna tack it on the day of court. thats just ridiculous.

    yea see between what you and tdurr said that what i thought and have read (you know me I always do my homework). I gotta see if i can get my court date changed cause im supposed to be out of town before my court date.

    in the state of ga, you are allowed one continuance for whatever reason. just go prior to 10 days from your court date and request one. if i recall correctly, you have to physically go up there because you cant do it over the phone (unless you have a lawyer).
