no poll just a general question.

i liked being 16, just getting my license and all but i think 18 has to be my favorite year ever lived. to me nothing was more fun then the responsibility of picking out my first car that i had to pay for, and then showing it off to all my friends. at the time the car scene was really "poppin" as well. then on friday nights you always had to find someone to buy you beer and the challange was great and when you finally found some to buy it it was then a challange to find somewhere to drink it.

just thinking about the past and wanted to share.

Probably 19. My first year of college. Easy classes, no hangovers, single and had girls figured out (freshman girls, at least). More parties than responsibilities and more fun that I will probably ever have again in the same amount of time.

Well, I really enjoyed my 17th summer. Panama and $30 for 3 days goes a long ways. lol. So I guess that or my 18th year. Many nights without sleep and work the next day with hangovers, etc. Just the normal thing. Getting into the bars/clubs etc and being able to drink and all that good stuff.

Hell, I remember one night me and a couple buddies had nothing to do and we decided to go grab a 30pk and chill. So, were over at my bro's apartment and another one of our buddies called and said that he ran out of gas on the way to the bar. So, we chilled for alittle while longer and decided to go to the bar. He didn't break down far away so by the time we drove all the way over their, he had already made it their by foot. We stayed at the bar for a good 2 to 3hrs and it was drink after drink. To top it all off, it was on the house most of the time or someone just bought pitchers of beer and let us drink some too. But we finally decided to leave and on the way back to the apartment, to make a grab n go before we went to Waffle House, we passed some guy walking. We passed him earlier on the way to the bar so we decided to see if he needed a lift. He didn't look more than 18 or 19 and at first he said he was cool when we asked but then once I said we were all fucked up, he was like, "Hellll yeaahhh". So we were taking him to his place and comes to find out he had just moved from Utah and had no idea how to get home from the SAME bar we were at. Something about his gf put him out or something. Well, we dropped him off and exchanged numbers because he wanted to party with us sometime. Finally we made the grab n go and made it to Waffler House. Ate some food and drank more beer and finally we had enough. It was probably somewhere around 5 or 6 and it was sleep time. lol. But then we got a phone call from another guy we know and he wanted to come over and hnagout for abit because he had just left another club and still going. We wound up starting with like 4 people and ended up having a mini party with like 8 people at the apartment. That night we all probably went threw about 2 30pks, 1 18pk, not including beer at the bar, and a whole bottle of Jose. We were tore up completly. Finally we all started passing out and it was around lunch time before I got to sleep. Crazy ass night/day for sure. Now those are the days I miss. ...And don't even get me started about Panama. LMFAO!!

Another thing I enjoyed about being 17, well 14-17 really, was the car scene up here was still thriving pretty good. Now there isn't shit except for a few hondas and bagged trucks. Hell I remember riding in Gainesville with my cousin in her 93 h22 swapped lude when i was 12-13 and it was mad crazy up here.

yea when i was 16-18 there was still the old wal mart parking lot and pool hall meets. those were the best cause everybody knew everybody one way or another and back then shit was orginal and not just cause they dont wanna be picked on. personally i like underglow (if done properly) but no one does it anymore cause they are scared to be called a ricer. pre fast and furious was the best car scene in my opinion.

Truly was. Because then it was all about a persons style. No one called you anything because you had neons inside and/or outside. I mean somethings I will agree were a little too much, but it was still all about what you liked. At least up here back then, for the most part, everyone didn't think they were the fastest person because they had a CAI and a muffler.

probably 14-15, no responsibilities, everyone was still alive, looking back i hated all the coke, but loved the run around 24/7 lifestyle. no one gave a fuck, and it was nice being able to do that and have nothing to lose.

I am almost there, but not there yet but I think 30-40 would be the best time. For me being a teenager was terrible, I really didn't know a fucking thing and kept getting in trouble, the 20's was a little better but you still don't know shit but you have "grown up" problems. car note, credit cards, student loans, rent, ect. but your too inexperienced to get hired on anywhere at a decent salary which for me was really shitty.

30-40 you got a good job, a pretty fat back account and don't feel your life is like walking on a tightrope...most of those things listed above are paid for but your still young enough to shut down a club until 3am.

but who knows....realistically I think the age you retire would be the best age!

but my favorite thing about getting older, is the less and less you care about what people think about you, there is a lot of freedom in that

Sometime's I think underage drinking is more fun than being of age. Just the thrill of it all, espeically being caught by cops.

I agree. I've never been caught by cops while drinking or being drunk. I was saying that it came with the extra thrill trying not to get caught. Especially in my neck of the woods where cops look heavily upon underage drinking on friday and saturday nights.
