I know what you mean. I've been on cruises with stupid fast cars. I thought my car was quick, but when you're following TT'd Vipers, you ain't got shit lolol. If I kind a car scene wherever I'm at every week, I end up tagging along in my rental. You should have seen me following two of my friends in LA. It is fun to do a mountain run or something with a friend or two.
HOWEVER, I use to spend at least two days a week doing mountain runs alone and never had a problem not having another enthusiast with me. Meets are fun, I like hanging out with friends, but we rarely talk about cars.I wish I would have had my car out there, it would have so much more fun.
To each his own. It really depends on the mentality and accountability of the people you are with. At least for me.
