I would deposit all my money into 5 different banks. That way i have a higher level of FDIC coverage and also i could spend it wherever i want

Lame answer that doesn't really get the idea of the thread. That's like asking what you would do with a million dollars and then answer with "I would invest 70% of it in low risk bonds that will definitely make a return and give 30% to a hotshot stock broker to make high risk potentially high yield trades."

    Lame lame lame.

I see what you're getting at, but it doesn't follow the question, since you're not spending the money at the bank.

When we were talking about it, I answered AMEX. Because then that doesn't limit me to any one place, if I had say a Black AMEX.

Edit - Not to mention, even with 5 different banks that would only be a maximum of $1.25 million in FDIC coverage. Suppose you won the current $100 million lottery, that wouldn't really protect you.

Fair enough and i knew i was pushing the rules a bit with my answer. I know that if I were to win the lottery, i wouldn't be looking to spend it on some dumb shit like Volvos and couture clothing. If i were not allowed to spend the money by entering it into a bank, i would buy items IE real estate that i could sell and net cash. I want a retirement plan, not a set of bullshit material junk that i won't care about in 3 years. and Yes im fully aware of the fdic limits, but by putting it into 5 banks per the rules of the question it would have given me the most amount of protection

This is an awesome question chef

I honestly DO NOT KNOW the answer at this current time, HOWEVER, I know for a fact that wally mart with be on the list. Hey, it wasn't just a first job for me, it's the convenience that can't be beat.

I would also put Carmax on the list because I can pretty much get any car through them that I can fathom. This way I will NOT be limited to any one make.

I loled, not really at you though, you had people backing you 100% although you clearly went against the rules. Looking for loopholes, it's part of our culture.
