I never said he was required to give a statement, just that people talk to cops after an accident. I simply assumed he gave a statement at the time. No one can say that this wrecks isnt unusual though. Sober and going less than 33mph and he hits a fire hydrant and a tree? I can assure you that if that happened to ANYONE the cops would be asking a lot of questions and trying to get medical records to see if there is a record of any drugs/alcohol.
