Took this long huh.... Damn, what great scientist we have.

One. Big. Ass. Mistake. America.
I would like to volunteer to be one of the first to colonize the moon...:idb::boobies::idb:

Wouldn't the water evaporate because the moon has no atmosphere? Like water boils at 50 degrees fahrenheit on Mars because atmospheric pressure is so low? You would think that h2o in a vacuum would turn to vapor almost instantly.
meh, that's why it's better not to think, and just let them tell you what truth is best for you to believe at this time. Haha, I don't blame nasa though. I mean this "discovery" will come to be handy information when it comes time to renew their dwindling budget.
^ The point I believe most would try to make is answering how it got there, why is it there, how did we miss it, and could we use this to our advantage.

I'm sure. So you hang out with Elvis again last night as well?

First comment is the best.
And lol at some of the comments in here.
I don't bother wasting my time reading the article. I read the thread title and posted. Though I was right. There are no lakes or oceans on the moonWith this new "discovery" next they're probably going to announce the discovery of some abandoned ruins or lunar bases. oOooOOohhh, can't wait!!
To quickly answer these ...
The shadowed craters of the moon are some of the coldest places on earth (they don't receive direct sunlight) at negative 360 degrees. Article states that ice could remain for billions of years. They also state that most of the water found on this mission was beneath the surface and in both vapor and ice form.
How it got there is probably the same story as how it got here. Most believe we have water due to collisions with Comets and Asteroids. A quick glance at the moon shows it's had it's fair share of run ins with space rocks.
No science geeks on IA? Ghey, this is why I don't bother posting up shit like this around this mothafucka. Idiotfucks don't know jackshit about it. All they care about is what kind of cold air intake could increase their horsepower by 4 instead of 3, and how to get rid of their check engine light.
I'm just wondering since when did you become the science buff you claim to be Alex?
You know better; next time will be a ban.
Since like 3rd grade. I always wanted to be an astronaut.
That's why I would always pass my science classes with A's. I sucked at everything else though haha. I fucking love astronomy.
Then it's funny I haven't seen you post anything really about Astronomy.

This is old news but still neat. There is a scientist that worked w/ NASA and on this project that has dibs w/ other scientists on finding the water on the moon... he got arrested for leaking out this info to foreign countries for some mula lol. He's getting some time in jail/prison.
^I know about the bashing religion part. But if you were and/or are into it, you would of still posted something about it on here. You don't seem to interested in Astronomy because I have yet to see you post in QD's thread.

Were in a fucking recession and there spending millions shooting shit at the moon..go figure.
Jason..
Not just that one. Honestly, I can't recall seeing you post in any of his threads that deal with the stars or something along those lines.
BTW Jason, you didn't know? Obama is our savior. I'm sure this is all part of his master plan to save and rescue us all...

Then whoops 100 pounds of c4 and around 50 gallons of gas would of got a nice insurance claim.. lol

It's true, this is me last summer on my trip to the moon.
