DAMN! And I thought I had no life lol :D
nobody has less of a life than me, guaranteed
LOL. well I will let you have that title
Im getting a life started so once that jumps off Ill be doin my thang and not so much IA till then Ill be a post whore..
decided to paint famous?
i think body work is more fun but I havent really gotten too deep into painting
Good luck man, and remember do NOT buy any paint guns from the teacher (lestor) save your money for better guns like some Satas.
But if you're looking to buy some guns now I got some guns I dont use anymore that could be used for the lifetime that you paint. I just can't use the sizes of the paint guns bc i switched to higher grade paints and they require smaller tip sizes.
dang Im not usually on here when you guys start posting, its early. 7,500 before I go to sleep, here I come
So I see you reached your 7k quota.
thanks man your a great help, hopefully Ill be getting into doing paint before I start school. Im going to start on my supra and see where that goes, since she anit going anywhere soon lol sigh FML.
naw man dont start off painting a car, let alone a supra.
Try painting little things. go to the junk yard and pick up some junk parts like doors/bumpers and practice on those.
hoods are a good place to start also, try laying them flat and then try painting some with them standing up
DO NOT TRY TO LEARN TO PAINT ON A SUPRA!
hahahah, yes please dont fuck up the supra.
and yes start out on a flat surface and then move onto something that is standing up right bc you WILL run it LOL
But you would rather get runs than dry spray. (not enough clear making it look like there is texture and dry) You can wet sand and buff the run off.
starting off with what? paint guns?
I would have to say either SATA spray guns or Iwata.
Sata if your starting off bc they virtually spray perfect out of the box. Iwata if you know what your doing and know how to set up a gun.
Sata will get shit done dont get me wrong with a professional look
Iwatas are more for the painter that wants a BETTER look but knows what hes actually doing and knows what kind of finish he wants.
Oh BTW i'm selling my Iwatas bc I had to go down a couple sizes.
I have an Iwata LPH400 HVLP 1.4 and also an IWATA LP400 conventional 1.4
you can go to a body shop and get free stuff to try and paint on im sure, they keep bins with junk hoods and shit in them.
lol my bad
I have 2 top of the line IWATA spray guns.
one for base coat (HVLP) and one for clear coats (conventional)
better? lol
