a lot of shops mainly look for number of years you have experience. and if you got any certifications.
they would take someone that has been painting for 6 years with no schooling over someone who has been working for 4 years with schooling.

I do not know everything about painting or paint itself, but I do enjoy the work and think I'd do pretty well at it.
