    Default New York City People...

And when I say this, I mean NYC...

    Not STATE...

Anyways, Why are most NYC folks arrogant ? They have a pretty hefty chip on their shoulders..

    For what ? I honestly don't know...

Especially if you are from the Bronx.. I mean, as a former resident of NYC..
I think that area of NYC ( The Bronx) is trash...

Most of the Population there is mostly hispanics/blacks... They come to GA and they think they are like king shit..

When I know for a fact that most people their are on Welfare or receive some kinda of pitty hand me down from the Goverment.. Section 8/ EBT/ Food stamps.. whatever it is.. And to top it off, they live in a roach infested apartment the size of storage room 12x12 or something...

Anyways, If you are from the NYC.. especially from the Bronx stop being a clown.....

If any of you been to the Bronx, you know what I'm talking about.. if you haven't dont worry about even visiting.. Unless you like the smell of trash in the air.. No fucking lie..

I agree! Most New Yorkers have something to prove by acting like a badass all the time. Life is too short to be pissed off everyday.

New Yorkers are misunderstood. When you live with that many people, that close, in a city that dirty and have to pay taxes that high... You tend to get a little abrasive and short, but they are good peoples. It just takes a while to learn their language.

    Fuck You = Hello
Fuck You = Good to see you again
Fuck You = How are the kids?
Fuck You = Will you join my wife and I for dinner?

I think they get more upset because the food stamp exchange rate is not as good anymore..

$5.00 to every $20 in food stamp would suck... the streets are hard now a days " Son "

Not the Bronx, but NY here. NYC folks are just like that, all talk mate, all talk. Now to answer your question:

It does stink, and it is a shithole mate. You hit the nail on the head when you said it. Think of the projects in Atlanta, Athens, wherever. Everyone of them some "hard ass whateva's". Now that is no comparison of housing etc, but the attitude remains the same.

Just watch any rap video, you'll see it in living color right there in front of you mate. Sad how it's glorified.

NOW, knowing that people emulate what they see mostly on tele because they want to be "hood rich" due to certain songs and lifestyles that are said to be ok... all you need is an attitude problem because you "got nothin'" and you "ain't gone be nothin'" to add fuel to the fire, and there you have it sir. The shitty attitude you ask about.

    any questions?

I agree. Most of those people moved to Conyers and since then our schools have lost all of their good status. The high school I went to used to be one of the best public schools in the state and went straight down hill in 2006. Hell my younger brother wasnt able to take all the classes needed to graduate on time bc they didn't have enough room in the classes due to all of the dumbasses who didnt give a fuck about their future from NY and Chicago taking up space.

Although I agree that NYC people are complete arrogant dumb fucks when they are anywhere else, but I can understand why they feel superior to Atlanta folks. 90% of the world is greater than the south. I don't consider it arrogance at that point.

Chuck (my husband) is from New York (Brooklyn), dunno...maybe it's the way he was raised, but he isn't really like that. He lived there until he was about 13ish maybe and then moved around a lot so that may have something to do with it.

Maybe I am just sheltered but I guess I have never noticed any of this before. I mean of course I hear about stereotypes and what not, but I guess I just assumed it was just that, a stereotype, not necessarily how things truly are.

    ILL TELL YOU WHY
when all these kids who have different lives up there get told they are moving to GA
they are told and/or have opinons of it like its redneck
    or shit like that
    they come down here
thinking theyre hard and the shit
then from my experience they either blend right in or run back home!

    Are you fucking kidding me?

Every fucking non-english speaking immigrant is taking over the neighborhoods our families fought so hard to preserve.

I was born in Queens, Corona to be exact. Used to be all Italians, now the asians and hispanics have taken the fuck over. The Bronx might as well be called Puerto Rico, and Queens called Korea Rico.

I have left Queens to seek out areas with Italian strongholds left. Bensonhurst in Brooklyn where I am now is left with many Italians and a very proud and nice area.

NYC'ers take alot of shit and deal with alot of shit. It's a very different way of life up here. Things aren't the same. Not all of us have the attitude you think. Some do, yes. The, everything is better in NY guy. But again, think about it. Alot of them didn't leave just because they wanted to, but other immigrants essentially forced them out of their neighborhoods.

NYC is like no other place. It is busy, stressful, and alive at all times. It's a tough transition for some people, and alot who didn't want to leave but more or less had to.

The cost of living is insane, the taxes are insane, and the liberals have taken over so much that the constiution seems to be losing it's value in the city let alone the state.

It's hard to explain, but NYC'ers are a proud people and love where they came from. Often times it would be hard to go back.

Very true. It is something hard to explain but when I lived in NJ and visited NY often it is easier to understand. I do miss living in the North, but everything is outrageous there now.

    True story.
Oprah came to the horse park in conyers in '96 for the olympics, then goes on the air and states how good the schools are and how nice of a place conyers is to raise an African American family... Anywho I've been here all my life and watched the town/school go straight to shit.

That is how most of my family is. They remember a different time when things were fast, but not this fast and crazy. My mom hates mass transportation now, she was sick of it when she left and hates it more now that even more people cram in places.

NJ smells.....bad. But I like it there too. Alot of nice Italian areas plus some great food.

New Jersey has some great pizza and great chinese food. I can't find a chinese place down here that can compete. Everything up North is very fast paced. I do miss it a lot but have been told that everything has changed for the worse. I want to go and visit though but doubt I will ever move back.

Already addressed this. Now I can't speak for California, because I've never been or lived there. But NY has changed so much, families leave to get away from the immigrant takeover that is moving in to be honest.

When my family came to Ellis Island and the Italians, Germans, Polish, and others came into town, alot of people were displaced and left. Now the same thing is happening where so many Chinese, Korean, Puerto Rican, Mexican, Russian, and Albanians are making neighborhoods not the same. So people don't want to live there.

When immigrants first come over their culture is very heavily focused on what they just left. But as generations go on, that fades away. So you can find plenty of people speaking Russian now, but very few people that speak Italian and German. They've been Americanized enough through time that it almost seems like they lost their roots. But it's all just assimilating to America and the culture this country has.
