Default black people and the 80's

Anyways, this isnt a racist thread... keep that out of here.

Im asking to the black males on here, is the atlanta area black population trying to bring back the 80's? I throw a lot of big partys at my house which equals a lot of randars coming. last weekend a black group showed up and i waslike hey man 5 to drink. After that i noticed they were all dressed 80's (or earlier??). like where it goes straight up about a foot? it was rediculous badass so i asked, and he said literally "were trying to bring the 80s back im surprised you havent seen this yet" so i was like haha thats badass and let them drink for free.

none the less, are yall doing it up there tooo? hhaa

We did the 60's, the 70's, and now the 80's have returned. History repeats itself

I saw that coming as soon as they performed at the BET pre-awards show. It's always been like that though. At least there not doing the 80's rock thing. I'm just waiting for white people to counter with that style.

They have already. Man where have you all been at? The 80's style with black folks started before the NEW BOYZ and the white folks have already been rockin the 80's rock look.

yeah ive seen the 80s clothing long before that too, but it was maybe 1 o 2 people i would see a day. Everytime I go to discover mills skatepark, I see crews that come in there everyday and most do that jerk dance. You can tell they just saw the video last week

I was mostly talking about their jerk dance. And I see more Polo'ed out white dudes than 80's rock. Where have you been noticing all this 80's bandwagon stuff at?

honestly i don't care who started it or when the 80's stuff got brought back. all i know is i will laugh my motherfucking ass off if i see any of the following:

    1) the "swish swish swish" parachute pants
    2) flock of seagulls hair style - google it an make sure you're not drinking anything when you see the pic
    3) the infamous michael jackson glitter glove on one hand - don't shake hands with anyone wearing this, you don't know where that hand has been
    4) any pair of guys dressed like crocket and tubbs - miami vice the tv series from the 80's, not the movie a few years ago
    5) anyone with the "V" jacket - it always reminds me of that scene in beverly hills cop when eddie murphy walked by two guys wearing those

That's not the 80's rock I'm thinking of. I'm talking about Poison and Motley Crew type of style.

LOL at white people counter by wearing tight mid70s-mid80s grundge/skateboarder/rocker clothes. A shit ton of white people have never left that era now. I think black people wore similar clothes in the 70's though from what I saw from 86-91 in West Lafayette Indiana was the black people wore wind breaker suits in 3 combinations of the following colors: royal purple/ Neon green/ Yellow/ Blue/ Bright orange/ White. Mainly it was Purple base with bright overlay color. Either way QD or someone of his age would have to answer this since he lived through the entire 80s.

He is old. Shit my joints crack and pop when I get out of bed in the morning. I cant imagine him. I got about 10yrs before I get to his state, though Im sure with me being an alcoholic, at his age, I'll be in a much more grave state.

That's true about both races being similar in their own fashion. I do know the glamor rock crowd never stopped the 80's appearance and some punk if that's what they consider themselves. Now we just have to wait for Quick Dodge to come in and break it down for us lol.
