I do a search every time I wanna start a thread in case the topic has been discussed before - hence my low post count.

There were various threads on tipping and most of them were rants from servers complaining about meager tips, which don't really answer my question.

You never really asked a question AND, if you'd read the thread that is currently ongoing in my link, you'd see that this is NOT a thread about rantings from servers, but a thread pretty much exactly like this one. Later, QD.
