Ga started this over the summer when there were a number of pursuits ending with bad wrecks and fatalities. It is more of a risk to chase then let them run.

When a pursuit ensues, the life of both the officer and the public are at jeopardy...as well as each $60-80,000 patrol car and whatever other property may be involved. All that for someone facing a traffic violation, bag of weed, or whatever. It's simply not worth it.

The problem is if they didn't chase at all then nobody would ever stop.
