With Bush finally out of office and someone new/better finally in...it hit news everywhere. If you watched the news at all you would've seen that people around the world were happy and excited that Obama was elected. Why wouldn't a 12 year old boy from Venezuela wanna meet the President of the United States when it's probably something he always hears on the news and when Obama is praised as someone who can create change and make things better?? I'd wanna meet him to if that's all I heard.
You don't get it because you're from america and you don't see how some of the other countries view us.
As for your statement about me, what would me not being 12 have anything to do with wanting to meet Obama?

You said that you can't see how a 12 year old venezuelan kid would want to meet Obama, and we gave you some reasons. It may not be that kid's reason, but it's probably the reason for most kids. He inspired a lot of people by becoming president because he made his mark in history. Maybe Obama inspired this kid to do something and believe in himself. Maybe the kid just wants to meet a powerful figure. Maybe the kid just likes Obama's name. Whatever the reason is...it doesn't matter. You asked a question and got feedback. What the fuck else did you expect?

Hell, I admire a kid more for wanting to meet Obama over a sport's figure because that shows that he cares about what's going on in his country or just world affairs (if he's not from america).

I would have taken an opportunity to meet the president too when I was 12, and I've always been a progressive and Bush 41 was president when I was 12.
You all want to knock the kid down a peg, but give him some credit, not many kids that age have an interest in world affairs, and a kid from Venezuela might well have said he wanted to meet Chavez or Castro or even Moammar Quaddafi.
