Colleges don't GUARANTEE you to get a job. I'm sure they actually tried to find her a position and either she was unhappy with what they found or they couldn't find anything. This is one of the things I hate about this country - everyone expects to get what they want immediately and that it will be handed to them easily. A good majority of the people think that by finishing college a job is going to fall into their lap. You have to do things to distinguish your talent from the crowd and a 2.7 GPA probably isn't helping.
