The last 240 I saw that I really liked was the BATL 240 and before that, was Marshall's 240... You would think by now, you would see a few head turners... Or maybe im not paying attention...

Is obvious they will not/never compare to IA... Yes, we have some immature fucks on here.. But we have some of the smartest automotive motherfuckers in GA on this site.. IA has become a hate it or love it type thing.... But we believe every ricer/retard/douche deserves a chance to "rehabilitate" .. Back 10 Years + ago, I was a ricer... Im sure most of you on here were as well.. Now, I'm really not into cars as much.. passion still there.. but im broke...

I will go a little over my head and say this ..

IA, on a local level will probably never be taken down by another local site.. But...

I read somewhere .. "Sometimes, something big can only be taken down by its own creators or what holds it together.."

I Kinda want to believe that...

With that said.. I have no problems with any other sites.. I'm over all that.. we have enough people bring drama to keep IA stats popping..

I hate to say it, But we are used to paying attention at other's people problem then more serious issues going on in the world today.... as long as our silly minds are doing that... alot of social sites will continue to grow...

I know right? I mean you have places like Killswitch and Lethal. They should be killin it!!!! They are so cheap to build, I can't believe more 240's don't do it right...but like you said, they are the new Honda.

Every shop has their stories, PM'd. I think the real reason for what Julio noticed is that for the most part people aren't interesting in doing them correctly. -If you have a hole in your radiator, or are leaking coolant, get that fixed before you lower your car.

-If your car is pissing oil, instead of putting atleast a quart a week in for months, figure out where the leak is coming from, and fix it.

-Also, remember to burp the coolant system. Don't just add water and go. Alot of people have different methods. I do this. Remove rad cap, fill with water, crank car. Set the heater on hot, and the mode on foot/defrost, and let it run and add water until you dont see any bubbles at all at the cap, then crack the bleeder screw, and wait for strait water to come out, then close that, and put the cap back on, and you shouldn't have any over heating problems. And just for the record, I always do a 50/50 water/coolant mixture. Alot of people like different ratios, but I've never had a problem with a 50/50 mix.

-Also, if your coolant is super dirty, spend the $10 on a coolant flush kit at autozone. It's a little kit that comes with t-fittings that you install on the top coolant hose. You install the T, hook it to a hose, undo the radiator drain plug and cap, turn on the hose, and just let the car run until clean water is shootin out of the radiator. You'd be amazed at how dirty the coolant in some of the S13's I've picked up was.

-When it comes to buying oil, just run the recommended weight from Nissan. And don't put synthetic in a motor with tons of miles. Not only is it a waste of money on oil, but more than likely, you're car will develop ticks and leaks that it didn't have before.

Basically what I'm trying to say is this.

I know times are tight, but I'd rather have a stock car that has maintenance up to date on it, than a modded car I worry about blowing up because of shit maintenance. nd its better to spend $100 now, than $500 later. I mean, really I am super anal about replacing thermostats. Its a $8 dollar part most of the time, than can save you atleast $200 doing a headgasket job yourself, or $600 having someone else do it.

So with that being said, if you want your daily drifter to be reliable, do some fucking maintenance before you attempt to modify it. Everyone wants a car with dope wheels and a sick stance, but that doesnt do you too well when its sitting in your driveway because the motor blew.

The other thing that bothers me is the rash of knock off parts. These kids are pricing real companies right out of the market. Everyone wants the stuff, so a store HAS to carry it. You see where I'm going with that, I don't need to explain the dynamics to you. I have been told TWICE on that site that I am a money waster: "You buy too many name brand parts", and "You buy too much Nismo stuff". The Nismo stuff I can almost understand, but really?! Shit in, shit out.

I dont know, this site and 240atl seem about even as far as immaturity is concerned. Here you have a much larger user base, so you will see more of it of course, but level to level its about even.

As far as 240atl, 240's and broke kids, yeah they go hand in hand. How many ebay turbo kits have you seen on Civics? On 240's? Yeah.

On a serious note, IA kiddies and 240ATL kiddies are kettle and pot. And I'm not worried about anyone from 240ATL seeing this because I say it all the time over there anyways.

Like Skillzilla said, broke kids and 240's go hand in hand. I've just always tried to make sure mine wasn't a complete pile of shit so people outside of the 240 community would at least have faith that SOME 240 owners still know what the fuck they are doing. Anyone that knows me already knows that I don't hate on people based off of what they drive, I wait for them to open their mouth and see what they have to say. And I am all for supporting the local scene, and that means being involved. When you get involved and desire to have the respect of your peers, you can't act one way on one site and completely different on another. The world just doesn't work that way.

Thought I'd chime in on this one :).

First to set the record straight, I have no problem with IA and won't trash talk IA nor its staff...

We had a lil quam in the beginning regarding inviting a few people (maybe 4-6) I knew had 240's on IA over to 240Atl and I can see why the staff here perceived it in a different way than I expected but we worked that out and I don't feel that there is any bad blood.

Also, 240Atlanta was not created for any reason having to do with IA, it was created because I wanted to expand my knowledge of 240's and help provide an information base to fellow 240 drivers. There wasn't a good local 240 site that I'd found that was active so I created one...

The drama section was created to try to divert the drama away from the technical/sales sections of the site but it didn't work as well as we would have liked lol. It did however create tons of traffic...

I've met and know a few of the IA staff and like them. I'd be glad to work with IA if the opportunity arose...

Oh and forgot to mention that the user was banned for insulting another member direct, two warnings were given before the 3 day ban on the third infraction... There was plenty of warning.
