I think the mod situation is out of control personally. I think if you are going to be a mod, then you should have to hold yourself to a certain standard—above and beyond the rules. Some of the mods on this forum just don't and that leads to a lot of the behavior here. Then you got mods who think they have a license to do whatever they want because they can delete their posts. They say something stupid, get owned, then start deleting posts. I had it happen to me very recently. He no longer has mod powers, thankfully.

Not to mention, there are way too many of them and the turnover as of late is ridiculous. I have seen some of the least respected members have been given mod powers. Not sure what is up with that.

I don't care who gets paid and who doesn't. It's not fucking rocket science. You sit your ass on here all day anyways and everyone loves the "clout" of being a mod on this large of a site. IMO, that is enough and if not, then you don't deserve it anyways. MODS DON'T GET PAID. THAT IS FORUM LIFE.

I also think that if your business is local and automotive based, you should not be a mod. Conflict of interest.
