OP, you are cool and all however, I have to respectfully disagree.

The south is the laughing stock of this country....the arm pit, if you will....always has been and always will be...and there are justifiable reasons for that.

I'm southern... I don't feel the need to eat with fine china and and sparkling silver forks and knives for every meal. I don't use tea cups and i don't have an annoying nasally accent. Are these the justifiable reasons?

But seriously, to some the South may seem less civilized and culturally irrelevant to the rest of the U.S., but without the South the rest of the U.S. would not exist, and your harsh indignant rhetoric is unwelcome.
