"I've been battling with this for a long time and have never really understood what purpose they serve. I mean yes you walk out to your car with your umbrella and you don't get wet. But when you get to your car you have to unlock the door, close the umbrella, and put the umbrella in your car which gets the drivers seat wet as it crosses over to the passenger side, the floor gets wet, you're getting wet in the rain, and by the time you wipe the seat off (if you decide to do that) you're drenched!!! If you don't wipe the seat off your butt gets wet and it just defeats the whole purpose of the umbrella!!!!!! I mean I don't understand????!"
