Why do people make threads asking for rep points? Aren't those originally intended to be given to a person when that person makes a good contribution to something. Such as good knowledgeable information, a funny anecdote/joke, or a nice NWS posting. Asking for rep points is just dumb, and turns that shit into a lame "whos got the biggest e-penis" contest.
