You're right, they weren't recalled, once discovered it could see through clothes they made them so night vision could not be turned on during daylight.

But at least 870,000 of the original cameras were sold worldwide before the glitch was discovered, with almost half the sales in North America. Damnit i sold my handycam sony camcorder. The nightshot actually worked in the dark. I mean it could be pitch black and the nightshot would actually make it like it was lighted BUT... I never knew about the damn nightshot in day makes WOMENS CLOTHES VANISH BAH.
