Dominican Republic : Traffic Light
Even though there are traffic laws in D.R.. no one follows them.
Take the worst drivers of the States and multiply it by 100.
Drive like you want.. No Rules.. In a way is great.... you can test your fear..
But here is a picture of something I found rather funny....
A traffic light with a timer...lol.. I told some people about this and they were like wtf I was talking about..
BTW, I stopped to take a picture of this .. Obviously it was a red light So I had time to snap a picture.. And Shit, The timer.
But, Drivers behind me, cuzz me out and were beeping the horn for me to get the fuck out of the way even though the light was Red..

And people in PR drive like if their were no traffic laws too.

Unless it's a garage queen they get trashed on all the islands. Everybody I know's that's visited inland say you'll see mirrors and stuff all around on streets, all the cars have scrapes down the sides, and dented bumpers lol!
Anyone ridden with someone that learned to drive in NYC? The brake and gas are treated as on-off buttons and the steering only works going straight or 3'o'clock or 9'o'clock...there is no such thing as merging or smooth transitions anywhere

I've seen them on the crosswalks elsewhere, but not here.
I never seen them until I went there. Im sure somewhere else they may have them..
Put it this way, I stop @ green lights when im there.. Matter of fact, I stop at every intersection regardless if there is a light or not.
The biggest problem over there are folks in Motorcycles/scooters.. they drive like they own the streets. They have no fear at all and on top of that, if you see a person wearing a helmet over there, play the lotto, you may win..
Also, I have never seen big wheelers hauling ass like they do there.. I mean, they are booking it...
What you think that couldve been a close accident over there is actually normal driving. Put it that way.

i was driving my raptor around the streets (in d.r.) and out of no where a scooter crashed me it was green for me and red for him..
When I visited the Bahamas I was going to rent one of those scooters they have near the dock, but i decided to walk around a little cause I'd heard some of the horror stories, and when I saw those crazy fuckers hauling ass around on those little side streets with all those beat up cars I said FUCK THAT!
Who knows?
Yea I think I will take a taxi when I go there for a vacation
