    Default opinions?

ok so i got a 97 lude ive been trying to sell for a while, has alot of extras

well anyways my payoff for it is 7200, but i really want another del sol, so i came across a locally owned 97 del sol that is pretty clean, but needs some work, but also has a clean title with only 101000 miles. its an si model, so since it needs work the guy wants to give me some cahs for my prelude. the average retail for the 97 del sol is 6475 from nadaguides, i owe 7200, but i want to have some cash to get the little problems fixed up with it. so how much cahs would yall suggest. i was thinking around 3500 since my car is in mint shape (damaged rear bumper and 1 small ding that needs to be popped out) i think 3500 is reasonable, obvisually im probally ending up loosing my ass out of the deal, i could pay off my loan 1500 bucks from 7200 to bring it down to 5700 which would probally make it pretty easy to swap titles on the loan. then i would have 2000 to buy a locally built GSR with no tranny of course, but i could get an LS tranny for 300 bucks locally, and have a built GSR running clean del sol and still only pay 150-200 a month car payment.

My opinion is that you should trade me for the CRX!

It sounds like you got a good plan...

Well.. dont know anything about your car, but a quick look at autotrader.com shows that $8000 is the HIGHEST a 97 prelude is goin' for on there... So I wouldn't suggest asking for more than $1500-2000.... but why do you want a Del sol? lol, you are aware thats a female car right? = P

I dont think that you can swap titles on the loan. You will probably have to get a new loan putting the Del Sol up for collateral and using the money to pay off you Lude. However they are only going to give you the amount equal to the trade in value of the del sol. So if you are dead set on this trade you need to see how much they will loan on the Del Sol and ask for the difference between that and the payoff of your Lude.

well yea thats what i mean by "trade titles" ive gotta call the bank today before they close and ask them about the max loan. usually my credit union is dead on with NADA, my prelude average loan was like 8450, i bought my car for 8500, so im not to worried about it.

and about the sol being a chick car, i dont care love em, and if done right they dont like very chick like
