post what it is exactly saying... extended number?? I think thats the 3 or 4 digit number on the back of the card.. It should be near the white section where you are supposed to sign..Originally Posted by rickgiblin

LOL
if theres a pink screen when you log in that means your account is frozen which sux balls.
sold over $4k on eBay in the last 6 weeks and all the buyers used paypal, no problems here.
How can you say PAYPAL sucks for that? Most sites that you pay with credit card ask for the 3 digit number, it protects you from people using your card # without actually having the card. I have never heard anyone bitch about a security feature that protects them, so tell me again how does that make PAYPAL suck?
Hell when I order a pizza from Papa Johns online and pay online I have to enter that 3 digit number, be glad they ask for it.

exactly, it's one more thing that makes it harder for people to rip you off...one glance or quick snap with a camera and they can have your cc number but they still don't have the numbers on the back of the card or your address (sometimes you're asked for your zip)...alot harder for someone to get all that.Originally Posted by Brett
Exactly, I just cant see how a site can suck for taking steps to protect you

It's probably because it's his moms credit card and he can't get access to the card to get the number... j/k lol
Dude, it's the principle!!! I'm sure it makes it harder for theives but why is it harder for us too!!!!! [ /sarcasm...]Originally Posted by Brett

you wanna talk about SUCK...try when a group of Croatians hacked into my paypal and sent someone $1,800.
That sounds like a Wachowski brothers film.Originally Posted by speedminded
yeah really, that was a big mess...they contacted a website business owner and offered to pay him a certain amount $$$ if he would do a paypal transaction for them because they are international...they hacked into my paypal and sent the money to him ($1,800 that wasn't in there)...he then got a cashiers check minus whatever his cut was and mailed it to them...i got home, read my e-mails, and saw that i purchased a laptop for that $1,800 that day??? Called paypal, they reversed it, and the guy that sent the cashiers check was out the money...that'll buy alot of Vodka for them.Originally Posted by HyPer50
no its not like that... when i went to enter my credit card number i entered the 3 digdit number on the back too... and then it charged me $1.95 for some extended using number which i have to wait 6-8 days to recieve and then i have to get that number off of my credit card statement. i just think that is wrong to charge people to use it. but thats just my .02
this your first time using paypal?Originally Posted by rickgiblin
Paypal is a business... the purpose of a business is to provide a service AND make money... They aren't a non profit charity. There service being; if you want to pay for something and don't want to wait a week to send a check or money order... you give them a small percentage of however much your sending. Same as money orders. As for the $1.95 to verify your credit card.... if i remember correctly Paypal puts $5 in your account when you register with them... so that should put you up $3.05Originally Posted by rickgiblin
no its not my first time using paypal but the last time that i used it was over a year ago. i guess they have just changed there ways
What he is talking about is to confirm his account, I think.
They sent me money to verify but that was with a visa debit card...just had to tell them the amount once it went through the bank. Maybe it's differant with a credit card.Originally Posted by Jaimecbr900
Yup, that the way it was for my bank accout to. they sent a small deposit to my account, and I had to let them know how much they had sent to verify it.Originally Posted by speedminded
