A couple of years ago a 240 owner took his car into Nissan to get a diff installed; they took it out to "break it in" and the owner started getting calls about "I just saw you race someone", "dude I just saw you slide though X intersection" and the best "dude I just saw you pulled over". The tech had taken the car out and managed to get two tickets. If I remember correctly the owner sued for a new diff, engine tear down and rebuild, new tires/brakes, all of the fluids flushed/filled and the car fully detailed inside and out.
