so i stripped the old ass window tint off my windows yesterday. SO lucky....it all came off in one piece and it was like 5 years old too

PB Blaster works wonders at getting all the gunk off if there's anything left on the window.

it didnt leave anything...i was like WTF. i got a razor blade and started one corner and peeled it off. LOL a friend of mine did his....it took HOURS to scrape his off. Mine took all of 5 minutes haha

^well how did you take yours off? when i did/do mine, it left a film...only pain in the neck was getting it off the rear window where teh defrost lines were

It must have been the type of tint or something. I just got a corner started and it all peeled off. Didnt leave any film or anything on any windows. The dude who tinted it back in the day said he used the best tint he had on my car....cant remember the brand though

yea must be. i remember when i had the teg..and i took that off..omg..

first off the tint was cheap, because it was purple. so i took it off via instructions from g2ic.com. tint came off..but the glue killed me, not to mention i removed the tint in the dead thicket of summer

it was tedious more than anything. i'm going to remove the tint off the max when i get money to get it replaced...i'm going 20%..light color interior, i shouldnt get bothered

I'm going with 20 as well when I get the time to remove the tint. It's busted and came with the car when I bought it. Shit actually looks grose. BUUUT i'm too lazy and too mf broke to fix shit let alone replace the tint haha

Whatever you do....DONT scrape the back glass. Do it when its HOTTTTTTTTT outside and seal up the back window with a black garbage back and spray in something with amonia in it and let it sit in the sun for a while....the amonia will break the glue down.

Im going with 10 all the way around and 35 on the windshield

i want to tint my windshield but i will already be playing with death getting 20% ...if i do tint the front i may do something lighter than 35% if possible

When my tint was fresh it was 10%....i got pulled over so much I got a notice saying I was going to lose my license due to too many points if I got anymore tickets. I had the tint for 5 years until yesterday and everytime I got pulled over it was for speeding or something else and they never said a word about the tint

well they just changed the law around here that all windows have to be legal, so cops are hot on the tint situation right now. maybe by the time i get the 20% ill be straight and wont have to worry about it.

PS I've gotten pulled over in my current car with shitty tint...JUST for the tint. Ticket was for front AND rear windows. Windows in front were 29% and rear were 8%....GHEY
