Ghosts, yea or nea?
Alright, I don't believe in them, BUT there have been a few things happening that has me thinking.....WTF????
Bear with me because this is going to be kinda long.
First, a little background. I loathe for lights, TVs, water, fans, or generally anything to be left running w/o someone being in the room using it. I look at it like it's me literally throwing money out the window. It's a pet peeve of mine and everyone at home knows it, yet they still do it far too often. Needless to say, there's been more than a few scoldings about it.
Second, I bought my house a while back because I was helping someone sell it. He is an investor and bought this house to rent out. He bought it barely a year old and rent it right away to an older couple. WELLLL, turns out that they BOTH passed away w/i a year or so.
Long story short, I bought it because I was getting a good deal and it was ultra close to my office in a great school district. Ok, so that's done.
Enough background, on to the weird shiot:
My wife and kids have always said we had ghosts in the house....but it was usually when I was blaming them for something and they said THEY didn't do it....
Well, the other night I was downstairs feeding the dogs and everyone else was upstairs doing their thing. I come back upstairs to find my wife and daughter laughing and having this weird look on their face. Seems my phone rang. No biggie. Well, it rang again, so my wife asked my daughter to look to see who was calling. She walked over to the dresser where the phone was sitting chillin and the caller ID says its MY WIFE calling.
The goofy thing was.....her phone was sitting beside her on the bed 15 ft away.....
So my wife picks up her phone and looks to see if she'd hit the send button by accident by looking to see the last phone calls made.......guess what???? My number is NOT the last one dialed.....
So, my phone rings supposedly from her phone yet no sign of it at all on her phone. So when I walked in and asked what was going on, they both go thru and tell me this "weird" story.......I laugh at them and call them dumb for thinking our Casper did it......well, guess what??? While I was standing there making fun of them.....my wife's phone rings, while she's holding it......and it was from MY phone, which I was holding in my hand and definetly NOT hitting any buttons......
Needless to say, all three of us just looked at each other. Again, I looked on my phone and no sign that the last dialed called was to her. Explain that.
One day, I was taking a shower. The light over my sink was the only light on. My son and I were the only ones in the house. I could almost swear that I heard someone come into the bathroom, so I assumed it was my son. Right? Well, a couple of seconds later the light over the sink is turned off. So I yell out to my "son" to turn it back on because I was in the shower (as if he couldn't figure that out). When "he" didn't do it right away, I opened the shower door to look out and fuzz at him.....only to find noone there. So I yelled out to my son, only to find out he was playing video games down in the BASEMENT....2 floors down from my bathroom....
The switch was actually turned off, because when I got out, that's the first thing I checked and the light turned on when it said "on" and off when it showed "off".
Finally, the other night my wife and I were laying in the bed watching TV kinda late at night. Kids were in their rooms in the bed sleeping. Suddenly both of us heard the clothes hamper, which is in one of the closets in our bathroom CLOSE.....as in the door open, then close. Very distinct sound. We both thought that one of our dogs, which was in the house, had gone in there and was messing around......only to look down and find him fast asleep at the foot of the bed on the floor......
So I walked in there to check it out......the hamper door was indeed closed and nothing looked like it had fallen down on it or pressed against it. Just sittin there chillin. I walked back in and the wife was looking at me funny, convinced we have a ghost in the house.
