    I say the soul of the song is all the instruments combined making that unqiue beat. Not just one specific instrument like a guitar or drums.

    Well you titled the thread wrong IMO. But to answer your question.....Depends on how good the guitar person plays. I'm a guitar kinda guy. So I'm usually 9/10 gonna choose the guitar over drums. If you like the drums more...Well of course you're going to pay more attention to the drums.
