Just like when you look at the sun, You are seeing 8 minutes into the past, It takes 8 minutes for the light of the sun to hit our planet, so when you look up, you are in fact seeing into the past.

When you look at the moon its 4 minutes into the past, Just think when you look at any thing in the sky thats in space, you are in fact looking back at the past.

If you want to ponder something ponder this......

Does space ever end, I mean is there a end to the blackness and empty space? And where did the first star come from, how did just a black empty area we call space one day get its first star, first planets, etc? It all had to start from somewhere, Space had to start from something.
