    Default sounds like a scam

so im lookin at this bike on craigslist and the guy i talk to is selling a bike not way underpriced but is a reasonable deal. He lives in tuscon al. so im not happy about a non face to face. second he wants to go through this shipping company and he sends me this when i ask him more info on it

Here is how it works if you have never used Autotrader.
You send me your full name and your shipping address so I can initiate the transaction.Autotrader contacts you with further details regarding the payment and shipping process. You submit the payment to Autotrader, Autotrader confirms the payment and asks me to release the shipment.I ship the bike which should be at your door within 5 business days. You have a 3 days inspection period before you confirm the deal and Autotrader forwards the payment to me or you cancel the deal and you get your money back and return the bike free of charge.
Basicly Autotrader holds your money safe until you confirm that the bike is what you have been expected and you want to buy it. It is not a sight unseen deal.
On the other hand I can ship the bike knowing Autotrader has your money and you won't disappear with my bike. We are both covered.Sorry for the long emails I have tried to touch all bases.
only things that throws me off is i do get a vin number that is legit so what yall think lol

SCAM! autotrader doesn't do anything like that at all. A friend of mine lost $3,500 in something like that because he believed them.

Well i would double check with Autotrader to make sure they do this. But could be a scam, but if Autotrader keeps your money i dont know how it could be. Or i would just take a truck to alabama and pick it up.

Autotrader does not do this. lol Think about it, if you owned Autotrader, would it be in your best insterest to do something like this? No.

People need to wake up and learn from all the bad experiences that people go through on this very website. Do not buy something unless that something is right in front of you. And do not sell something until that something has been paid for 100%.

Besides buying things from companies, Ebay is a safer route to use to trust someone, but even then you can be scammed.

    lol..
75 % iof the shit on Craiglist are scams..

Shit, Even the hookers.. Well, thats what Brett told me..

He said he made a deal with a hooker for a blow Job for $15 bucks..

They meet up at the Mans bathroom @ taco bell....

brett got his blow job all right.. But when He went to grab genitals.. He sure did grab some..plural..

    2 balls and a stick...

I guess that wasnt really a scam.. Because Brett got his blow job..

    But you get the point..
