    Thanks for ideas, I'm looking not too expensive, and a spider monkey sounds bad ass but kinda pricey.

    How are lizards/iguanas for pets? Level of care and maintenance?

    Black Throat Monitor FTW!! I have a young one that is about 30 inches nose to tip. When it is full grown it is capable of being between 6-7 feet nose to tip. Got to love big reptiles.

    To take proper care of an iguana or lizard requires quite a bit of work on the owner's part.     I just lost my iguana in december. i had him for 14 years and got him when he was already 4 years old, he wasn't caged and was a great pet that roamed my house. He was easy to take care of, paper trained and really fun to have. (except when I woudl come home to find he broke into the fridge and ate all the strawberries) if you are looking for a first lizard they make great pets
